AstroHacks Code of Conduct

 

Welcome to AstroHacks! Our goal is to provide a fun and educational experience for all high school participants. Please read and abide by our Code of Conduct to ensure a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.

 

1. Inclusivity

 

AstroHacks embraces participants of all high school backgrounds and experiences. We value diversity and aim to create an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome, regardless of differences in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal characteristic.

 

2. Respect

 

Respect your fellow high school participants, mentors, organizers, sponsors, and staff. Treat everyone with kindness and courtesy. We encourage collaboration and a supportive atmosphere where everyone's contributions are valued.

 

3. Collaboration

 

AstroHacks is a collaborative space. Work together, share your knowledge, and be open to learning from one another. Support your peers in their ideas and projects, fostering a positive environment for creativity and innovation.

 

4. Harassment-Free Zone

 

AstroHacks is committed to providing a hackathon free from harassment. Harassment includes unwelcome behavior such as offensive comments, intimidation, stalking, disruption of events, and any form of unwelcome physical contact.

 

5. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination

 

Discrimination has no place at AstroHacks. We do not tolerate discriminatory jokes, slurs, or negative comments based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristics.

 

6. Report and Respond

 

If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to the organizers promptly. We are here to address and resolve any issues to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all high school participants.

 

7. Compliance

 

Participants failing to comply with this Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the event at the discretion of the organizers, without exception. We want to ensure a positive experience for everyone, and your cooperation is vital.
